Pooya has been awarded the Cardiovascular Research Cluster Bern (CVRC) 2026 Best Poster Prize in the Clinical Category for his outstanding work on a deep learning–based cardiac CT segmentation model.
This innovative foundation model is designed to fully automate the processing of cardiac CT images and enables accurate quantification of multiple cardiovascular structures. The model outperformed all existing approaches by combining large-scale annotated datasets with a human-in-the-loop training strategy, resulting in superior robustness and clinical relevance.
Importantly, the model, along with the cardiac CT images and accompanying segmentation ground truth, will be made open access upon publication, providing a valuable resource for future cardiovascular imaging and AI research.
Congratulations to Pooya on this well-deserved recognition and for his commitment to open-source scientific advancement.
